PJ Olsson’s new album, American Scream in stores October 16th was produced and mixed by PJ. American Scream is Olsson’s first album of new material since 2005’s Beautifully Insane, and adds to a body of work that began with his eponymous debut in 1998 and continued with the critically acclaimed Words For Living in 1999.  All three albums were acclaimed for Olsson’s blending of traditional instruments with innovative beats and electronics, as well as for his unique songwriting style and intricate vocal harmonies.

American Scream includes 13 tracks, two from this year’s internet only EP, The Ironwood Sessions and the bonus track "(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding."

The bonus track came out of the collaboration between PJ and Salman Ahmad, musician, poet and founder of Pakistan’s most popular band, Junoon. They got together and recorded a new version of Nick Lowe’s song "(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding" for The CW’s new critically acclaimed show Aliens In America. This song is currently being used as main theme title song and in the promos for show.

Other highlights from the album include "A Million Stars," "The Minute's Gone"and "A.D.D. (People Stop Running)."
